Gathering House: Macrame Wall Hanging

  • The Guild 611 Jackson Street Richmond, TX, 77469 United States (map)

Join us to learn how to make your own macrame wall hanging! In our class, you will learn three basic knots, (in a few different ways) which you can then use to make amazing macrame pieces for yourself!

We will not be following a pattern, as we want you to use your own creativity to create your own piece, and bring out your own unique style! Once you learn the basic knots, and a few tips on how to start, you can get to making a piece that is custom to you!

This class is appropriate for beginner to intermediate makers, and all materials will be provided, including written out instructions + diagrams of the knots you will be learning.

  • 12" Wood dowel (this will be what your macrame will hang from. If you want to bring your own stick to use instead, feel free! )
  • Cotton rope (8mm)
  • Instruction and diagram sheets of 3 basic knots —with a little extra thrown in!
